Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary of Mexico City
This is something that pictures truly do not do justice. Even viewing it's magnificence personally it is hard to wrap your brain around what it is you are seeing. I found myself holding my breath.
At different churches around Mexico, locals told me these altar backgrounds are made of carved cedar wood and gold leafed. Of course some are just plaster with gold paint. Breath taking for sure.
