A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Tom Arnolds--1949
There is another shot of a carousel towards the
end of this clip. I didn't realize so many show's
featured them. John O'Briens is usually the only
one mentioned. Thanks to the Fredy Knie and Sacha Houcke on Ringling in the early 2000's and a few others for showing us today the beauty of a "living carousel"
The elephants here were the first two of three import groups by the Chipperfield family in the late 1940s.
