A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

The spin world of animals in captivity
Apparently this is how you round out an 8 hour work day, when you can't find enough to do in today's zoo world. Then you alibi it with an environmental message like "so the elephants can forage, or search for all us nitwit's, like they would in the wild." That's as valid as trunking up a line of elephants, shoveling their grain in place, then giving the command "all right" allowing them to eat and calling it "foraging as they would in the wild." Geez.......
Elephants "foraging"(search) for a better understanding of "like they would in the wild."
Elephants "foraging" (search) You decide if it is "really in the wild, or not?"
