A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Circo Atayde(Aguilar) Hermanos
Yesterday Ian asked, "how is business in Mexico?" I feel the two biggest lies going right now are 1. Unemployment is down and the economy is rising and 2. Business is great and the tent's are full. That said, I took the above photo's last night of the midway, 15 minutes after the start of the first show, which was sold out. The line in the top photo extended for 3 blocks, down the hill in picture two, past the menagerie in picture 3, and into the midway/ticket wagon in picture 4, and past in picture 5. So what do you think Ian? "How is business in Mexico?"
Looking good. Latin counties sure dig a big circus. When I was in Peru, we sold out most shows in Lima for 6 weeks, and the ticket prices were half a weeks pay for most people in Lima. And, there were 5 circuses in town at the same time most of the time! Tihany did two months in Lima - completely sold out, with ticket prices double what we charged.
ReplyDeleteGood to see those folks are doing good business in Mexico.

Awesome turnout!
