A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

San Antonio Zoo Rhino Complex
This truly amazing complex could best be described as a "habitrail" with it extensive interconnecting paddocks, loafing sheds, moats, gates, fences, and chutes. Down side is given the substrate and the years of use the smell was incredible, and if the wind was right identifiable from far away. The first white rhino born and bred outside of Africa was born at San Antonio, and the first black rhino was born in 1981.
