A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Happy Memorial Day Everybody, In Particular Every Fortunate American Citizens.
Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier in DC. One of the most impressive things anyone can witness. My wife & I went to Gettysburg PA last week on our way back to SC from the CMB Gathering in Hershey. It was my first vist there, but won`t be my last, It was a very emotional experience. Thanks to all the men & women that have given everything for our freedom, and those that are still serving ! Have a Great Memorial Day Everyone !
Hal, I first witnessed the Changing of the Guard in 1984, when Ringling played Washington, D.C. There is nothing in the world to compare with it. At time's I found my self holding my breath, with tears welling up in my eye's. It is the most emotional experience I have ever had watching a ceremony. The full impact of the awfulness, waste and devastation of war, and what is sacrificed for our freedom, flies right in your face with the full impact of a fist.
