Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Buckles had the ride there at least one season. For a while the Zoo operated the ride with there own staff and elephants. Buckles inquired why they went to a contract system. The Director said it became a challenge to motivate the staff to keep the ride moving. If you offered a monetary stimulus, the keepers could make so much they'd get robbed on the way to the parking lot.
