A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Marineland of Florida--A look back 1966
Apparently you had to be at least a Commander in rank, in order to do the live training show's at Marineland, while Seamen were relegated to just feeding the Dolphins as we see below. I that a correct assumption, Jim? I wonder what became of the cinder block backdrop, with the dolphin's in them? I would sure loved to have had a pair of them to use as bookends in my zoo/aquarium history room.
I think at one time they were considering selling some as historical mementos. I think they even had a stash of unused blocks. I'd take a couple myself.
ReplyDeleteJim,
ReplyDeleteHow about your white bucks and aqua blue sport coat? If nobody has put in a request yet, I would like to be considered as the honored recipient.
