Cologne Zoo Polar Bears. Above in an illustration from 1875 depicting an incident
between the two polar bears, which led to the death of the female by drowning. I believe they lived in the bear enclosure pictured in the next thread, which housed Polar, Black, and Kamchatka bears. Does anyone know if that bear enclosure still exists. Below is new the Polar Bear enclosure pictured in 1956, when it was opened. I believe it has now been converted into a bird of prey aviary. Can anyone correct or verify please.
