A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

The miserable Memorial building in Topeka Kansas--1967
This photo can be double clicked for detail. This is the interior of the miserable old building mentioned in the thread below, with chairs set up on the stage in back. By the time I played the building in 1977, business had fallen so much for the Shrine that we were able to use the stage as the "tiger stable", instead of lining them up in the narrow hallway's out side. The flyer in the picture is the great Armando Farfan, prior Ringling. The "ekeitment"(as Josip Marcan would say) in the "steel bound den of fury", with the "bottle walk" and "half barrel" seat looks like the requisit's/props(for you Europeans) and equiptment/props(for you Americans) for Prof. Keller's act.
