A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.
The act was trained in 1999 by James Clubb to change the lion act presented by Emil Smith that was on Kinoshita from 1997 until 1999. Before the mixed act was on Kinoshita from 1992 until 1996 presented by the Palacios and later by David Lowrie and TIna Stiff. Sandrine Le Bris presented the act together with John Illig until 2005. In 2006 Patricia White and John Illig presented it. In 2007 a new act with 2 ligers was presented at Kinoshita by John Illig. This act is still on Kinoshita.
This is the act that Jim had at Circus Kinoshita in Japan and was worked by Pat White and John Illig at various times.
ReplyDeleteThe act is now back in England and was worked by Jim 3 times a day at his facility's Open Days in October.
Although Jim does a heck of a lot of training, he very rarely works an act in public.
