Sumatran elephant born


A 9-day-old baby elephant sticks close to his 18-year-old mother Tini at the Safari Park in Gianyar, on the Indonesian resort island of Bali. The male Sumatran elephant baby is the first baby elephant born on Bali island.

today sunday 17 of may, at 08.45 this morning Asian elephant Phyo Phyo at Antwerp Zoo, gave birth to Belgiums first ever baby elephant, its a little female that for now is called baby-K. Some 8000 sugestions were send to Antwerp Zoo for the baby's name that has to start with the letter K

I should hope 8,000 European head's working together can come up with something more noble then Baby K.

lol Baby-K is her working name for now, tuesday her keepers wil releas her offcial name that is pikked from those 8000 name sugestions it has to start with a K.

Baby-K got her official name today. From now on she is called Kai-Mook, witch is the Thai word for pearl.

Thank you. I gotta hand it to you guys, Kai-Mook is a great name. In the Colonies they would have respectfully named her Kandy, Kool-Aid, Kimberly.

lol don't get your hope up just yet wade. Overhere in the Netherlands we have a mother and cub polarbear witch have the names of two diaperbrands mom is called Huggies and her cub Walker.
