A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Sahib
When we were wondering at Ned being taken on the road in his condition, nobody remembered or addressed Sahib. He looked awful bad at the end.
Vincent, I geriatrically call male elephants Sahib, as I geriatrically call horse's Steel Heart. I didn't want to mention the name again, in case there were issues. There was such an out cry over Ned, which was totally justified that folks may not have realized things occur world wide that sterotypes all and makes everybody a "soft target." Wade
