A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Tom Dieck Jr.
I just heard young Dieck lost these tigers due to an illness. That is a heart breaker when you have devoted a part of your life to training something. He has new ones that he is starting over with, and I wish him well with them.
The tigers were Rami and India, they died of a poisoning of food. It were beautiful young cute tigers I saw Tommy working with the tigers when there were just 8 months old. And I saw them when there were 4 at Monte Carlo. But I think the new ones surly gonna do a great act with new great tricks (hind leg, garden over the wall,...) I saw them training at Herman Renz in 2007.
My sympathies to young Mr. Dieck on the loss of his beloved tigers, and sincere wishes for the success of the new ones.
