A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Probst Barnyard and Baboon act
I really like how this act looks and is presented. There is an act that is similar now working at another German circus festival. Does anyone know if it is this act, presented by someone different. Courtesy of Joey
Nice act. In the '80s I saw a guy in a circus from Salvador get torn up by an olive baboon that was part of a four animal act. In ten seconds it did the kind of damage you'd expect from a large predator. Massive facial injuries, torn muscle from a bite to the upper arm, and a bite to the back of the neck that could have killed him. Could only image what a bigger animal like a mandrill might have done.
Happy Christmas to all. In keeping with the spirit of the season the local towing company snatched my wife's car last night because her tags were three weeks overdue. Ho, ho, ho. Gotta love rainy California.
Thank you Mary Ann and Merry Christmas to you, Wade, Ben and all the "NoSpinners". Adee and Bhoja are doing very well. Adee has recovered well with no lasting effects.
