A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Louie Knie
Courtesy of Thomas Bohner The Modern Day Teide.
This is some great footage of a young Louis Knie. Note the rattan and long willow whips Switzerland was known for, and now almost impossible to find. This is the act that eventually ended up in America.
When this was completed it was one of the best riding acts I have seen. Rivaled only by GGW on Ringling
Amazing video's LOL
ReplyDeleteYou can also add to your blog the video of Freddy Knie and his tiger and horse act.
Thomas,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I wanted to check with you first.
Wade
Would give my right arm for some of those whips and rattans over here.
