A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

These animals were trained by one of the gentlest most caring trainers there is. What do you see now? Or maybe they were trained by the cruelest, most vicious trainers there is. What do you see now?
all I can say is they look like cool cats to me.I am going with "content".I can not understand how an animal could be cynical .Hungry, angry ,content, happy? like yay I am so happy I can do this trick better than anyone.. educate me
Rebecca, What if the cruelest, most vicious trainer trained them. Would the the expression be "content" as you suggest? They have no idea what a trick is. Wade
I learned some stuff once. Actually in High School I worked at the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. I am a little funny though when I talk about my dog!!yuk yuk
