People ask me who I think will be the Best Cage Act Historian in Europe someday. I have a good idea who it will be, but people might disagree. So I have a formula here that should answer that question without any doubt. Try it out.
1) Pick your favorite number between 1-9
2) multiply by 3, then
3) add 3, then again multiply by 3
4) you'll get a 2 or 3 digit number
5) Add the digits together
Now with that number see who will be "The Best Cage Act Historian in Europe" from the list below:
1. Lisa
2. Guidoos
3. Ron Mikkenic
4. Hills
5. Dieren trainer Jr.
6. Alexander
7. Kevin
8. Martijn H
9. Thomas Bonner
10. Hans-Jurgen Tiede

Any number divisible by nine will always have its digits add up to 9.

Wade, if x is the number selected, then the formula for the procedure described is (3x + 3)3, which simplifies to 9x + 9. Then factoring this expression yields 9(x+1), which is divisible by 9. The digits of any number that is divisible by 9 always add up to 9.

ReplyDeleteNot according to the Monte Carlo Quantum it isn't. What makes you say that. Is history not also about fact? I don't thing compiling a lot of old things makes you a Historian, unless they are cataloged with facts.

I agree with Mr.Reynolds about Thiede's possible leadership over that matter. But everybody here is forgetting Christian Hamel, that is a serious competitor on the subject...

ReplyDeleteI have heard of Christian Hamel but have never seen his work or met him. If you should run into him, give him my email. I would like to speak with him further.
Again, if it is going to be history, accuracy is of paramount importance. I was shown a Thiede book a few years ago, and while the pictures were fabulous, the bios were incredibly inaccurate. I suggest he can be influenced by who is telling him the tail, and a historian must be as brutally impartial as a researcher. They said, "look here is your picture", and your bio. I thought that is odd as I had never heard of Thiede, or spoken to him. Paging through, there were many bios of inaccuracy. Self serving fluff, but not much of historical value. I can't speak to the early years, but from the mid 70's on, you can sure tell who he personally talked with, shared a popcorn with, and who he didn't.
