A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Axel Gautiers Family
I am wondering if this was Axels Grandfather above in 1908 and his Grandmother below in 1910 Lu Lu Gautier Ingeborg Rhodine(Gautier) above and below
Louis "Lulu" Gautier born 1887 in Denmark ,performed equestrian acts with his Brother Enrico/Heinrich/in the Circus Beketow Budapest in 1919 after went to the Carl Hagenbeck Circus and presented a 16 trakehners liberty act ,and in 1947 went to RBBB from Sweden. He dead in 1949. László
The Gautiers have been famous as well for their wonderful dog acts and dog and pony acts, such as "the bricklayers", "steeplechase", "talley ho", "excess Baggage", "Madam Woolfords Daschunds" and I believe the Gaudsmidt Bros. among other great animal acts.
The big deal is that they are one of the most significent circus animal act families in circus history and are closly related to the Loyal family. so it is a big deal as both of these fami8lies represent many generations of excellence in the circus arts.
Col. Quit being so defense. I did not mean so "what's the deal" as in so "what's the big deal?" I'm hanging the paper, I know who the Gautiers were. I meant it in regards to my question I originally asked, "could these two posters be Axels Grandfather and Grandmother?" That's what "what's the deal" was in reference to. Wade
