A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Why do things grow so large in the Mecong Delta River?
Above is a giant ray caught in the Mecong Delta River, and below is a Manta Ray exhibited years ago. I don't know where the one below came from.
I suppose giant manta rays have been shown in aquaria, but I do not know where. They obviously require a giant tank, and I suspect they are tough to feed - -like trying to keep whale sharks or baleen whales.
