A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Robert Baudy--Another "old school" who I have been told had a fabulous act.
A shame there is so little known (at least to me) about Robert. Where are the photos, the articles? I met him at his Florida place about 15 years ago. He had the most exotic living room I have ever seen in my life.

I am not really anonymous. I have posted here before but messed up when logging in to the blogger deal. I agree, no anonymous postings should be on your interesting blog. Anyone know the name of Baudy's autobiography ? DION
Dion, Hello and welcome back. I had heard about Baudys book, and Henry can possibly help us with the title. I believe it was self published, and as is a rule with that type autobiography, it has a "specialized readership" which eventually makes it rare, and expensive to the ones who knew the individual and want a copy. Wade

Rob, Thank you. I know a number of Rob's. Which one are you. There is a Rob in Philadelphia who has an incredible collection of Gargantua and cage act memorabilia. Are you he? Wade
looks like margaret and rob have answered the question about the name of baudy's book, and margaret has even tracked down some copies! she's even found some that are less expensive than the ones i could find when i bought my copy. it's a fun book with some new stories.
Rob, I am so very sorry accept my apologizes. I have not heard from you in a while. What is the news on Martin Lacey, have you heard. What else is new in you beautiful country circus animal wise. Best wishes, Wade
No apologizes needed Wade.Of what I know,Kasanga reacted a bit more intense ,but they left the cage together as usual and Martin went to the hospital for treatment. He will be performing again one of these days.
Rob, Thank you. I assumed it was not serious, by the description of what happened, and it being a tooth. "Reacted a bit more intense?" I have always referred to that change in behavior, as "a hair up his ass." LOL Regards, Wade
