A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

The dark side of a wonderful thing called the Circus
Just so you know if you ever see one, this folks is a tiger claw necklace. Taken off of one of my "children" and a member of "our family", after it has died. One of the saddest hypocrisies of some "animal lovers." Producers used to have them made up into the shape of a Shrine emblem, with two claws attached in the middle with a gold Sphinx and the claws looking like the crescent moon, and gift them to the Potentate and other important nobles. Thankfully things are starting to change, but this image is less then ten years old. If it had been kept at what we see below, how much problem would the industry have endured from Animal Rights, and Krone deals with them daily.
What I am more concerned with is that one guy is wearing a robe, and the other a tiger claw.....
ReplyDeletePosed the way they are, I am guessing there was a round of "tickle-monkey" to follow.
NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!
But could we leave the pieces of the tiger out of it?
Casey,
ReplyDeleteWhy are you assuming it is a guy in the white sweater? I think you are a little phobic? LOL But yes, I have to wonder which one of the "children" that is that was offered as a "reward" for a job well done.
