A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Does anybody know what that is on the legs and ears of their elephants, and is it just for cosmetic purposes?
When I first saw these elephants, I thought the leg markings were from standing in an oil treatment for thier feet. But after looking at many photos of this act I think it is just cosmetic since the ears also match the legs. Interesting look.

ReplyDeleteJoey,
ReplyDeleteI am still trying to make up my mind, whether I like the look or not. But it sure is class.
