New Whipsnade Zoo

Whipsnade zoo recently contacted Treelife as they had a larch tree with a lifted root plate in the tiger enclosure. This tree was at risk of falling over and making an excellent escape route for the tigers, or possibly falling over and crushing the big cats in high winds. Throughout this emergency job the tigers were placed in an adjoining enclosure where they keenly eye balled the tree surgeons as they worked (large hungry, big cats are not a usual health and safety issue that we have to face!).
The felled tree was left in situ in order to create further wildlife habitat and has now become a favorite perch for these majestic cats to sleep on.
