A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.
Daniel Suskow started with some lionesses of Cirque Jean Richard in 1968 and in 1969 he started with 8 lions. Here you see 6 of at cirque Amar in 1979. He presented the lions at Knie, Jean Richard and Berolina also. Then he went to Ringling to present the tigers of Baumann, but he just presented them 2 or 3 times a year and he presented camels on ringling. In 1988 he went back to Europe to present the elephants and tigers of Cirque Pinder. In 1989 he went to circus Tarzan Zerbini to present there the elephants of the circus and some extigers of Louis Knie. He went back to Europe in 1991 and presented for 2 years the tigers of Alexandre Bouglione. Later he trained he's own group of 8 tigers and presented them in Europe and they retired in 2002. He now still trains tigers for a museum in France and he presents them in the summer. He also trained a tiger group for Joseph Bouglione the man of his daughter. the names of the male lions are: César / Tarzan / Romeo / Prince / Sultan / Schiwa and of the ex Louis Knie tigers: Saphir / Topas / Rubin / Brillant / Jade / Beryll / Opal / Granat / Diamant / Zyrkon.
